29th АпрельAs far as I can see there are people interested in Thanatos no Futago. So I decided to make a post on it, I hope it will be helpful.
First of all, it is not manga, it is a light novel (illustrated novel), which means there is a lot of text written by Katsura Izumi, and it also contains some beautifully drawn masterpieces by one of my favourite artists - Takashina Yuu.
It has two parts: Thanatos no Futago 1912 and Thanatos no Futago 1917. The story takes place in Russia during 1912 – 1917, and it is about twin brothers who were separated by dramatic circumstances in their childhood. One of them, Yuri, became a heir to his father’s dukedom, and ended up as a captain of Semenovsky Regiment, while another one, Mischa, was considered dead (but of course it wasn’t true). The whole thing is rather tragic, but I absolutely love the series.

Shinra_bansho also started translating the novels, but unfortunately there is only a couple of chapters and it didn’t move any further since 2010. Anyway, you can look at it at her livejournal.
